James E. Scott

Jim Scott is a seasoned business executive with Board of Directors, CEO and CFO operating experience and over $20 billion of completed merger and acquisition and financing transaction experience.  Throughout his career, he has worked with clients ranging from zero-revenue start-ups to billion dollar public companies in projects ranging from the creation of an initial business plan to running the day-to-day operations of the business.

Jim began his career in investment banking at Salomon Brothers Inc. in New York City as a financial analyst in their domestic mergers and acquisitions group.  He later joined Swiss Bank Corporation as an initial member of their domestic corporate finance division.  Following Swiss Bank’s acquisition of S.G. Warburg in 1995, he moved to London to assist in launching Warburg’s global chemical investment banking group.  After that group was successfully developed, Jim transitioned back into mergers and acquisitions in London with a specific focus on cross-border transactions.  During his tenure in investment banking, Jim advised clients on over $20 billion in transactions in multiple industries and worked with such companies as The Dow Chemical Company, Metallgesellschaft AG, Swissair, General Motors, Roadmaster Industries, Inc. and British Petroleum.

Jim is the owner and primary architect of the financial and operational turnaround of Qube Visual, one of Denver’s largest and most diverse sign and graphics companies.  He is a 2004 graduate of Leadership Program of the Rockies and a member of Entrepreneurs Organization (EO), an invitation only group of successful entrepreneurs with 103 local members.  He serves on the Board of Directors of Qube Visual and PaySimple, a Denver-based electronic payment processing company, and EO Colorado, and is on the Board of Trustees of the YMCA of Metropolitan Denver, where he is a member of the Executive Committee and chairs the Finance Committee.  Jim graduated with highest honors from Boston University.
