Steven M. Stark
Steven M. Stark is a managing director of Bluestone Investment Group LLC and managing partner of Stark Winter Schenkein & Co., LLP, a boutique CPA firm.
Steven is an experienced transaction advisory expert, business valuation specialist and financial analyst with twenty years in the financial services industry. His expertise includes investment banking, business advisory services, litigation consulting services and commercial banking. His work includes mergers and acquisitions, capital formation (debt and equity) and strategic planning. He also has experience in the areas of economic damage analysis as well as business and intellectual property valuation for a wide array of clients in varied industries.
Steven began his career as a commercial banker in Colorado. It was as a lender and a credit analyst that Steven began to understand both “the whole of a business” and business from a financing perspective. Steven transitioned from his role as an outside advisor to working within a company and understanding a business from the inside. He contributed to the growth of this closely-held concern as it emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy to a viable business. Ultimately, this business was sold to private equity as a significant transaction.
Since 1994, Steven has been involved in performing transaction advisory services with his own firms. He has been involved in many transactions as an M & A specialist and he has been involved in excess of 150 business valuations.
Steven is a member of the Institute of Business Appraisers and the Association for Corporate Growth and has served as a guest lecturer on business valuation at the University of Northern Colorado. Steven is a graduate of the “50 for Colorado” program. He is the current president of the Colorado Chapter of the American Jewish Committee, treasurer of the Mizel Arts and Culture Center, and is active in the Allied Jewish Federation of Colorado. Steven holds a Bachelor of Science degree with an emphasis in finance and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Colorado.
